What began as a nomination submission became something else entirely—a reflection, a reckoning, and a reclaiming.

Earlier this year, I was nominated for a spotlight feature by an organization that celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) artists. I initially asked to postpone the deadline because I wasn’t ready, and they kindly granted me an extension through spring 2025. After months of juggling everything—from producing The Piano Pod's episodes and rehearsing for concerts to teaching and running my studio—I finally pulled everything together and submitted my responses. But after that... nothing. No publication. No explanation. I reached out via email and social media, but still, nothing.

So I decided to share it here instead.
